Lay down the groove with a 256-pattern, 16-step sequencer

Between its 7" full-color touchscreen adorned with six soft encoders and its array of multicolor pads and buttons, the Pioneer Pro DJ Toraiz SP-16 sampling workstation makes navigation and song creation incredibly easy. Sixteen step divisions let you lay down grooves effortlessly, which you can store in 256 locations, while four scenes let you instantly recall patterns whenever you need them. When it comes to groove production, you just can't beat this classic workflow.

Loaded with Dave Smith filters from the Prophet-6 synthesizer

When we heard that Dave Smith teamed up with Pioneer on this groove machine, many of us at Sweetwater could hardly believe it. When we got to hear it in action, we were totally floored. Onboard the Toraiz SP-16 is the complete filter section from the Dave Smith Instruments Prophet-6, including the 4-pole highpass and lowpass section with drive control. But that's not all. The Toraiz SP-16 comes packed with all kinds of sound manipulation tools, from amp envelope and time-stretching options to a pitch-bend touch strip that makes this DAW play like an instrument.

Pro DJ Link and MIDI clock let you create coordinated performances

Chances are, you'll want to incorporate your Toraiz SP-16 into the rest of your DJ rig. If you're already using Pioneer Pro DJ gear, then it's as simple as connecting your Toraiz SP-16 via Pro DJ Link Ethernet, which locks your patterns to the beat. Talk about easy! Even if you're using other DJ gear or synths, the Toraiz SP-16 comes loaded with MIDI clock sync, allowing it to easily play with the rest of your music production gear.
